About The Carts
Some details about our carts!
Mega Drive / Genesis Cartridges
- Cartridge Shells
The cartridge shells we use are made of plastic very similar to the original ones. The European and American cartridges have the correct design (no side notch cut), and the Japanese as well. Includes brandings on the back.
- Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs)
Well built, sturdy PCBs! Voltage step-down to 3.3v, like the original ones, to prevent damage to the cart or the console. The beveled connector edges means you can rest assured it will not damage the connector pins on your console.
- Cartridge Labels
Labels completely designed by us from scratch, using high resolution official artwork. This means you won’t get the usual low-res scanned and printed label, or those stretched out horrible labels using the games’ cover art directly.
Our labels are printed using a professional printer in high quality settings on premium paper very similar to the original labels. The labels are then cut by hand to prevent any cutting errors
- Miniboxes
The Minibox is a product completely designed and produced by us! It’s a sleek, high quality, and highly collectable box that looks awesome on any collection! The cartridge neatly fits inside the sliding tray, and stays upright, like an original case. The Miniboxes are made of 390gsm notturno cardboard for the tray, and 190gsm satin photopaper for the sleeve.
Please note the following: the Miniboxes are a collectible product, meant for display and collecting purposes. They are not meant for constant displacement, harsh handling, laying it around the house somewhere, etc.
Frequently Asked Questions
We can’t guarantee it. Most of them will work, some of them will not. We only test our cartridges on original systems, so we can only guarantee it will work on an original Mega Drive or Genesis.
We only recommend playing these on original systems. However, if you took the risk and it ended up not working, we recommend trying various settings on your system (like region settings, speed settings, etc). Sometimes you can easily get the game to work this way.
Aside from being a brand new cart with a shiny and sleek new label, none! It works exactly the same way, or even better, as the contacts are new and the PCB heats less than the original ones
All the games are tested before sending them out. As Mega Drive / Genesis is a relatively simple system, all our tested games should work on your working and original system.
However, if not, please try cleaning the contacts both on the cartridge and on the console.
